HISTORY OF BAJA SPAS From the beginning, Baja Products, Ltd. has been a family owned and operated company. The owners were in the pool building business in IL and decided to move to Tucson, AZ for the milder weather. In 1969 they started Baja Industries, Inc. by building diving boards and spring diving stands. During this early period Baja also developed and built a diving board stand which was made from a vacuum formed sheet of DR Acrylic backed by hand rolled fiberglass. Using the same thermo-forming techniques for the diving stands, Baja figured why not try making an "acrylic spa". In 1972 they produced the first acrylic spa, and all are backed with a 10-year non-prorated structural warranty. |
